When you want to learn to drive, you have to get into the car with someone who has expertise to teach you, and have the experience, the practice, the rehearsal for when you will be a fully-fledged driver. You will need to know the highway code, and a certain amount of theory, but you can’t learn to drive on that.

Role play, in order to communicate more effectively, uses the same approach. If you want to improve your interpersonal skills in dealing with people at work, your peers, colleagues, reports, those you report to, then role play with expert feedback and guidance will give you the experience, the practice, the rehearsal in safety, for you to take back to work and keep practising. Just as your driving improves with practice and then use, so too, your interpersonal skills improve with self-aware practice. It’s not magic; it’s working at it that makes the difference. But first, you need the self-awareness in order to continue the work along the right lines.

That’s where our role play service comes in. AIM Associates has an established team of experienced role player facilitators.
